just rang 01924 587001 , they seem to know nothing about the number but are infact a home insurance broker too and didnt know that i called them on 01924 587001, something fishy about them

AA Warranty sales, very irritating calls, tried several times and hung up on me and then launched into sales pitch.

Hi to anyone who reads this,

As a result of using a price comparison web site I too suddenly started receiving calls from this number. I called bt and spoke to customer services. I have asked to join the caller preference service which makes it ilegal for marketing companies to contact me using my home number. As this service takes 28 days to invoke, BT have given me the caller display service free of charge!
I have also gone ex-directory.

I hope this solves my problem and helps others in the same position.
